Trump says he expects full ceasefire in Russia-Ukraine war 'pretty soon'

WASHINGTON

US President Donald Trump said Friday that he expects a full ceasefire in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war "pretty soon."

"I believe we're going to pretty soon have a full ceasefire," Trump told reporters at the White House.

He said a "contract in terms of dividing up the lands, etc., etc." is being negotiated in the war, now in its fourth year.

"It's being negotiated as we speak," he added.
