An archbishop has been found guilty of covering up child abuses in Australia on Tuesday.
Adelaide Archbishop Philip Wilson was found guilty by Newcastle Courthouse for concealing child abuse allegations against another priest Jim Fletcher in the 1970s, according to Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC).
67-year-old Wilson became the Archbishop of Adelaide in 2001.
Wilson's sentence will be announced on June 19. Wilson can receive jail term of 2 years.
Priest Fletcher, who was convicted in 2004 child abuse in nine different cases, died in 2006 in jail.
Peter Creigh, one of the victims of Fletcher, had told the court that he mentioned the issue to Archbishop Wilson five years after the abuse when he was 15.
