Türkiye’s benchmark BIST 100 index opened Friday at 14,235.63 points, up 0.24% or 34.58 points from the previous close.
The index had closed Thursday down 0.36% at 14,201.05 points, with a daily transaction volume of 173 billion liras ($3.86 billion).
As of 0950 local time (0650GMT), the lira traded at 44.8650 against the US dollar, 52.8795 against the euro and 60.6415 against the British pound.
Gold was priced at $4,785.30 per ounce, while Brent crude oil stood at $98.85 per barrel.
