Azerbaijani president hosts meeting with UAE delegation

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday hosted a meeting with a UAE delegation led by Foreign Minister Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri in the northern city of Gabala.

According to the presidential press service, the sides discussed cooperation in political, economic, trade, energy, and renewable energy fields, as well as the work of the joint investment fund and joint military exercises.

Regional developments were also addressed, with both sides highlighting the importance of resolving Middle East issues through diplomatic means, the statement said.

Aliyev hailed the successful development of bilateral relations "based on strategic partnership" between the two countries.

He also noted the "significance" of Al Hajeri’s arrival with "a large delegation" in terms of further deepening ties.
