sraeli forces entered a village in southern Syria late Monday, raiding a home as illumination flares were fired over the area, Syrian state media reported.
Syria’s Alikhbariah TV said Israeli troops advanced into Taranja village in the northern countryside of Quneitra province and raided a house.
The incursion came amid repeated Israeli military operations in the area.
On Saturday, Israeli troops detained two Syrians near Taranja while they were working in olive groves before releasing them Sunday, according to the Syrian state news agency SANA.
On Sunday, Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned escalating Israeli incursions into Quneitra and neighboring Daraa province alongside increased helicopter, reconnaissance and warplane activity over southern Syria.
The ministry described the operations as a “flagrant violation” of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that continued Israeli incursions threatened security and stability while obstructing reconstruction and recovery efforts.
It urged the international community to take action to halt the violations and press Israel to comply with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
Israeli forces have carried out repeated incursions into southern Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, when Israel declared the 1974 disengagement agreement void and seized the Syrian buffer zone.
