The Saudi Arabian Civil Defense issued three separate emergency warnings Thursday for the capital, Riyadh, Al-Kharj governorate and the southern city of Najran, urging residents to follow safety instructions.
The agency said in statements on US social media platform X that it issued the alerts through the National Early Warning Platform to warn residents of potential danger.
It did not specify the nature of the threats or provide details.
Al-Kharj is located southeast of Riyadh, while Najran lies in southern Saudi Arabia near the border with Yemen.
The warnings come amid heightened regional tensions and continuing missile and drone threats linked to the war in neighboring Yemen.
