A total of 128 people including 11 children and nine women were killed in several cities of Syria on Sunday in operations mounted by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 128 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 25 in Idlib, 20 in Aleppo, 14 in Tartus, 8 in Hama, 7 in Dera'a, 5 in Raqqah and one each in Deir al-Zor and Quneitra in air and land offensives.
Syrian Local Coordination Committee (LCC) Spokesperson Saleh Anadani told Anadolu Agency that "Today was the most bloody day of Ramadan. Regime forces is slaughtering the people for all the world to see. Intense clashes hit Aleppo's Han Asel. With Homs under heavy bombardment, Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Kurdish PYD forces are in a fierce clash in Tel Abyad."
Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) stated that Assad forces held bomb attacks on a market place in Ariha district of Idlib, killing 24 including 2 children and 2 women.
Reporting tens of wounded, SRGC also added that there is an urgent need for medical stuff in the district for the care of the wounded.
The National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces (SNC) claimed that Assad regime forces used chemical weapons in Yermouk district of Damascus.
Issuing a written statement, SNC urged international powers to take action against the Syrian regime that uses recklessly all kinds of weaponary on the Syrian people, and keep their promises.
SNC asserted that 22 people were killed including 15 who choked from the chemical gas in Yermouk with an intense population of Palestinian refugees.
With the internet and phone connection lines cut off, SNC claimed that death toll may rise in Yermouk where 100 thousand people were left beseiged.
The statement also stressed that the Syrian regime have been blocking the humanitarian aid flow to the Yermouk region for 6 months.
