ATHENS (AA) - The General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) and Greece Public Employees Federation (ADEDY) started protests before of a package of law drafted and presented to the parliament in Athens.
Teachers, local government employees and civil servants of the culture and economic ministry took part at the protest in front of the parliament on the Syntagma Square and protested the package of austerity measures which is predicted to cost 15.000 public jobs.
The protestors held banners with "You ruin our lives, we take our lives back", "Say no to the dismissal" and "We want stable and permanent jobs".
Farmers handed out fruits and vegetables free on the Syntagma Square before the protest started.
