The Chairperson of the Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Volkan Bozkir on Saturday said that the Anadolu Agency (AA) was able to keep up with the changes and developments taking place in the world and took very timely steps.
Speaking to the AA, Bozkir said that he congratulated the agency for beginning Russian edition services as part of its centennial vision.
As a country aiming to be a role model in its region and the world, Turkey deserves to have a strong news agency which is among the leading agencies of the world, Bozkir also said.
A member of the Turkish-Russian Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group and a Justice and Development (AK) Party deputy from Ankara, Seyit Sertcelik said that the AA's Russian edition services was a positive development in a region of 300 million speakers of Russian.
"AA's Russian edition services will make it one of the prominent news agencies in the region and contribute to the promotion of Turkey," Sertcelik also said.
