Turkish President Abdullah Gul said that the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation constituted a model for regional cooperation that could generate a more prosperous and a secure future for countries of the region.
Speaking at a summit meeting of BSEC heads of state and government that marks the 20th anniversary of the organization's foundation, Gul said that Turkey the summit meeting was aimed at reviving the political will to make BSEC as the fundamental organization of the Black Sea basin, adding that region sat at the heart of the Eurasian continent with a strategic importance for both regional and global sustainable development.
