PKK terrorist killed in Diyarbakir, southeast Turkey

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey

Security forces in Diyarbakir, southeast Turkey, killed one PKK terrorist and captured another Monday, a security source said.

The incident in Kayapinar saw a police officer wounded, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.

The PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against Turkey in July. Since then, more than 290 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of terrorists killed.
