Security forces have searched a Turkish Airlines plane after cabin crew found an apparent bomb warning in a seat pocket Monday.
No explosives were discovered, however.
The plane was scheduled to depart for the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo from Istanbul Ataturk Airport at 1015 a.m. local time [0815GMT], when cabin crew discovered the hand-written note.
Afterward, security forces encircled the aircraft to search for explosives and related evidence.
According to security procedure, the passengers were transferred to the terminal and their luggage examined, the authorities said.
However, after finding nothing in the plane or the luggage, the plane took off for Sao Paulo.
Monday’s incident is the latest in a series of hoax bomb threats issued against the airline's operations and which have resulted in the emergency landing of at least five international flights since the mid-2015.
