Mobile phone imports have reached its peak in 2012, in the month of November, according to Information and Communication Technologies Authority figures.
The number of mobile phone imports have increased by 60% and the mobile phones brought into the country with the passengers have also increased by 58.6% in November, compared to October.
While one million 65 thousand and 734 mobile phones were imported in October, 2012, the number of mobile phones imported in November increased to one million 705 thousand and 146.
Six thousand and 710 mobile phones brought in from foreign countries out of 133 thousand and 823, were registered online since the implementation of the online registration system, between November 1st and December 11th.
