ISTANBUL
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday said that "certain problems, including terror, were steps taken to prevent Turkey's growth and Turkey's progress."
Speaking in a ceremony held to put into service 486 ambulances in Istanbul, Erdogan said that "since the very beginning, we had been talking about the need to fight against terror together (with the US) in all corners of the world."
"Our security forces are conducting an investigation after today's blast at the US Embassy in Ankara. We will share the developments with the public once healthy information is received," Erdogan also said.
Two people, including the suicide bomber, were killed in Friday's blast at the US Embassy while one woman was seriously wounded.
Davutoglu expressed sorrow
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Friday said, "It is sad that such an attack took place in our country" in regards to the explosion at the US Embassy in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
"It is sad that such an attack took place in our country. We have always been very sensitive towards the security of the foreign embassies in our country together with our police force" said Davutoglu during his daily official visit in the Serbian capital of Belgrade.
Davutoglu expressed his condolences to the families of the people who lost their lives and stated that they would be in touch with American authorities.
"Our security department is working intensely to find those responsible and shed light to the issue" he added.
