Turkey condemned the attack which targeted Russian embassy in Damascus, claiming a civilian's life and wounding several others.
Turkish Foreign Ministry released a statement and said, "Turkey offers its sincere condolences to the Russian Federation. Such actions against innocent civilians and a diplomatic representation, regardless of their motive, are contrary to international law and cannot be condoned."
Turkey hopes that such attacks which deepen the conflict in Syria as well as the threats towards regional security and stability would not be repeated, said the statement.
Russian Embassy in Syrian capital Damascus was attacked on Thursday with howitzer, and a Syrian was killed and 9 others were wounded due to the attack.
