ANKARA
Turkish interior minister has ordered for a probe into allegations of excessive use of force by police against Gezi Park protesters, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said Monday.
Speaking in a televised interview, Arinc said "the general probe will address specifically if there was any use of excessive force, who gave the order and how did it occur."
Arinc said the probe will also cover incidents in capital Ankara and in the western port city of Izmir.
"I believe that peaceful demonstrations that started with environmental awareness has came to an end," Arinc said.
