Turkey's imports from the U.S decreased by 10.9 percent in 2013, compared to the previous year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
Turkey’s imports from the U.S totaled US$12.6 billion in 2013, from US$14.1 billion in 2012.
Meanwhile, exports to the U.S increased by only 0.3 percent in 2013 compared with 2012, totaling US$5.6 billion.
Turkey's imports from the U.S mainly consisted of raw materials, US$9.05 billion, investment goods, US$2.11 billion, and consumer goods, US$1.18 billion.
During that time, Turkey exported US$3.14 billion of raw materials, US$2.02 billion of consumer goods, US$367 million of investment goods, and US$87 million of classified goods.
