Turkey supports more dialogue and cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a Turkish ambassador told Wednesday an international meeting.
"Turkey supports the settlement of the issue through diplomatic ways and we continue to work to facilitate dialogue and cooperation," said Turkish Ambassador Tomur Bayer, head of the Turkish delegation at IAEA's general assembly meetings in Vienna, Austria.
Bayer also touched on North Korea's nuclear program, expressing Turkey's concerns over talks between Pyongyang and the IAEA which remained stalled since 2009.
"Turkey expects North Korea to halt all programs on nuclear weapons and resume talks with the 5+1," Bayer said.
Bayer said Turkey welcomed efforts to create a nuclear-free region in the Middle East, adding that his country also supported a prospective conference to that end.
