A bus crash in Bangladesh killed at least 24 people in the early hours of Thursday.
Local media reported that an overnight bus lost control and crashed into trees along the highway between the capital Dhaka and southern district of Barisal.
Road accidents are common in Bangladesh, especially on inter-city routes where buses and lorries often overtake each other at speed on narrow roads.
The most recent statistics from the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority show that more than 2,500 people die in road accidents every year.
