Around 70 Ethiopian migrants drowned on Sunday off southwest Yemen's coast, Yemeni authorities said.
They added that three Yemeni fishermen had also drowned, while seven more fishermen had gone missing in two different incidents.
The Ethiopian migrants were on board of a boat that drowned off the coast of southwest Yemen, according to the Information Center of the Yemeni Interior Ministry.
It attributed the drowning of the boat to strong winds and high waves, noting that the boat had sailed from the Horn of Africa region.
The Information Center added that the three Yemeni fishermen were part of a group of six fishermen who were on board of a Yemeni fishing boat.
It said one of the other three fishermen was rescued, while two other fishermen were still missing.
Five other fishermen went missing, the center said.
Thousands of illegal migrants flock to Yemen every year from the Horn of Africa.
