At least 15 people, including an unknown number of children, died in barrel bomb attacks by the Syrian army helicopters in the Syrian city of Aleppo on Wednesday.
Dozens of people were injured in the attacks by helicopters belonging to the Syrian regime forces in Aleppo, the Syrian Revolution General Council (SRGC) reported.
Several homes were destroyed and people tried to pull out dead and injured bodies from underneath the debris, according to the report. The injured people who were taken to hospital are in urgent need of medical attention.
The local coordination committees in Syria reported that helicopters belonging to the Syrian regime attacked a Damascus suburb, which has long been under siege, with nine barrel bombs.
The report said that Assad forces conducted air raids in the suburb of the Eastern Gouta of Damascus.
Over 100,000 people have been killed and more than 8 million others have been driven from their homes since the conflict erupted in March 2011.
