BEIRUT
A group in Lebanon's capital Beirut gathered in front of the United Nations (UN) to protest the massacre that hit East Ghouta near the Syrian capital of Damascus.
Many lawmakers and party leaders attended the demonstration organized under the name of "Do not take part in this crime."
The protesters, blaming the UN and international community for taking part in the crime, urged UN to take a decision to stop the Assad regime's crimes.
At least 1,300 were killed in a chemical weapons attack staged by the Syrian regime in the suburbs of the Ghouta region near Damascus in the early hours of Wednesday, which the Syrian government strongly denies.
