Türkiye's BIST 100 up 1.4% at close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the day at 12,443.92 points on Monday, up by 1.42%.

After starting the week at 12,373.11 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 173.74 points from the Friday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 12,373.11, while the daily high was 12,528.60.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 12.2 trillion Turkish liras ($249.2 billion), with a trading volume of 118 billion liras ($2.4 billion).

A total of 66 stocks on the index rose and 31 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,134.60 per ounce, and Brent crude futures traded for $101.7 as of 1545GMT.

While the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 49.1555, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 55.1340, and the British pound traded for 65.0190.
