Heavy snowfall on Wednesday paralyzed daily life in the north-western province of Istanbul.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Turkey's national air carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) said that they cancelled 39 domestic and international flights to and from Istanbul.
We advise our passengers to call the THY call center at "444 0 849" or to check our web site prior to coming to the Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, the THY also said.
