Turkish Eximbank have been searching for ways for cooperation with a number of banks in the Balkans, Alaaddin Metin, Eximbank's deputy director general, said.
Metin said the bank aimed to strengthen cooperation concerning bank credits, adding they began work to mull cooperation opportunities in Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Albania.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency in Skopje, Metin said, "Following our discussions on what could be done in the Balkans, we hope we would contribute to the improvement of economic relations between countries via Eximbank loans to be supplied to the banks of the region."
Macedonian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce (MATTO) President Tuna Kahveci said the state authorities of Macedonia promised to increase Turkish investments in the country up to 1 billion euros in two year's time.
