At least 48 people were killed on Wednesday in attacks staged by the Syrian regime in several cities across Syria.
Assad forces killed 12 people in Homs, 10 in Aleppo, nine in Daraa, eight in the suburbs of capital Damascus, four in Idlib, two in Quneitra and Deir-uz Zor each, and one in Hama in air and ground strikes, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group which tracks civilian and dissident casualties.
There were 7 children and 2 women among the dead.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) released a statement indicating that Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces seized arsenal in a village in Homs.
Clashes took place between FSA and Assad forces around the village, and regime forces hit the region with scud missiles. They also bombed the Rastan and Telbise towns in Homs.
FSA troops hit the military academy in Aleppo with grad missiles and fierce clashes took place in the region. The opposition attacked the headquartes belonging to regime forces in Tel Aran in Aleppo.
More than 100,000 people have been killed in more than two years of conflict in Syria and over two million Syrians are now registered as refugees in neighboring countries,Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq, according to the UN.
