President Bashar Assad regime forces held air and land operations in various provinces of Syria on Wednesday, killing 93 people including three women and six children, according to a watchdog.
The London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights Watchdog (SNHR) stated the regime forces raided opposition-controlled areas, killing 54 people in the suburbs of Damascus, 18 in Aleppo, nine in Al Hasakah, five in Daraa, four in Homs and three in Quneitra.
Meanwhile, a media official for Syrian Local Coordination Committee (LCC), Ahmad Mohamed Ali told Anadolu Agency that intensive clashes occurred between the Islamic-Front-linked Tawhid Brigade and the regime forces around the 80th brigade base in Aleppo.
Ali said that opponents attacked the regime forces with howitzers made from propane cylinders, and also said that the regime's helicopters dropped barrel bombs in Mesekin Hananu and the Ansari districts of Aleppo.
Syria's state-run news agency SANA said the security forces neutralized many armed groups in East Ghouta.
