ISTANBUL
Germany's foreign trade balance posted a surplus of €6.4 billion ($6.5 billion) in June, official figures showed on Wednesday.
The country's exports totaled €134.3 billion in June, up 18.4% from July 2021, and imports amounted to €127.9 billion, up 27.9% over the same period, according to the Federal Statistical Office, or Destatis.
Germany's exports to Russia dropped 40.3% to €1.2 billion year-on-year in June while increasing 14.5% monthly.
"Imports from Russia rose by 4.8% to 3.5 billion euros in June 2022 from May 2022," the Destatis said.
