IHH Humanitarian Aid Foundation members survived the Syrian jets air strike on Aleppo University uninjured where 87 died.
IHH Humanitarian Aid Foundation members were distributing relief materials 200 metres away from the university during the air strike.
Ercan Bozkurt, an official from IHH, was a witness of the bombing and stated that the planes were dropping bombs over the university contrary to the claim of the attacks being done by suicide bombers.
Another witness of the event, a local activist, Ebu Muhammed said, "This is part of the deterrence policy of the Assad forces. We were close by the university, the planes flied over us and bombed the campus. Why would the opposition forces hurt the civilians in an area they already control? It is illogical, especially when they are trying to increase the sympathy among the people."
Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) reminded that the Assad forces previously attacked Aleppo University many times due to their dissenter attitude, but the air strike was a first.
